My big sister is a figure before me,one that I don’t frequently look up to. Not because she’s wrong in her choice of paths, she’s just on the other side of the road

and traffic is heavy

and we are headed to different directions

and we wired differently

and our intentions clash

we argue over opinions

over the largest piece of melon

over my teenage baby sis

how her moods are a bother

I say

She’s an adolescent

Who feels ready to take on the world

When her palms are barely a size

To handle house chores fast enough

Her body lies,big small sister

My big sister does routines

And takes after mama

In looks and character

If there’s one thing I wouldn’t doubt

Is how much she loves us

Thank you Van
